This is going to be my story. What you perceive of it is entirely up to you. The truth is out there.

Student Internship Program, a short recap.

Student Internship Program. Ahh… Sure brings back some memories. But there was a lot of shit in it too. This is just a brief, very brief, account of the SIP semester.

I grouped with Marcus FOO and Yam for the SIP, selecting Games and Multimedia as our project choice. We had expected something in the lines of multimedia, but we got to do games instead. Taking things with a positive attitude, we embarked on this gaming adventure. It wasn’t long before we realised how sucky it was.

The game was to be hand coded using Java, the language no sane mind is able to take a liking to. To add to that shit, our supervisor, (affectionately called Ah Tan, or sometimes Cheebai Tan, by us) had to set such high expectations and had us confined into our work cells even after the SIP period has ended, and into the holidays. All our curses could not do anything to the undeniable fact. Losing all will to work, we just trudged on through the days like lifeless souls, feeding our hate against the Tan (supervisor lah).

However, things do turn out fine in the end. And we were quite relieved to have endured all the shit poured onto us from both the supervisor and the industry partner. We were eventually selected to present the project in the Engineering Project Show, and that truly marks the end of the project.

Looking back, it's not all so bad. Lots of good times as well. For example, my first taste of riding was in SIP. And then there was all the absolutely nonsensical stuff we did in the 'coolest' work cell of the whole SIP. Too much to list down.

This story is far from complete. And the memories will always be there. Just wanna say thanks to the two dudes in my group who made the whole ordeal rather fun, considering the loads of crap we had to undergo. Truly an experience to cherish.

p.s: If you guys (Foo and Yam, that is) wanna add on to this story or what, email me or something ok?
