What a funny thing happened today. I was at the Comfort Driving Center, taking bike lessons. It was Prac 4 and it involves the narrow plank balancing. I still suck at it, despite this being my 2nd retake of prac 4. But somehow, I got the hang of it and it became easy. Anyway, one time, I was mounting the plank and slowly balancing my way through it, concentrating my guts out.
When I reached the end, proper and within time limit, the instructor (I still remember him as the guy who gave me my 1st driving lesson) came up to me and asked, “Mat, Hari Raya what month ah?”
I thought he was asking for fun. So I answered, “November.”
Then he asked, “Now what month ah?”
To which I answered, “September ah…”
The next thing he said, “September ah? Hmm… Fasting month haven’t even start you want to get ready for Hari Raya?”
I was puzzled, so I asked, “Huh?”
He pointed at my signals, which was blickering away happily (I must’ve forgotten to switch it off the whole way round the circuit) Then the instructor said, “Then you put on the dancing lights (lampu lap-lip) for what?!”
At the end of it, the guy passed me, so I am damn happy. Finally can take revision!
Hahaha. So funny.
This is going to be my story. What you perceive of it is entirely up to you. The truth is out there.
