This is going to be my story. What you perceive of it is entirely up to you. The truth is out there.

This Day in History

Listening to Rabiatul Adawiyah on IKIM.FM. I find this is one radio channel that gives me a piece of mind. The nasyid groups... some of em are not bad at all...
Met this Chinese Muslim girl who just converted... That's probably the highlight of the day. She got me thinking a bit... ... ... ...

Now, a hadith to end the day: Narrated by Anas:
Allah's Apostle said, "From among the signs of the Hour are (the following):
1. Religious knowledge will be taken away (by the death of Religious learned men).
2. Religious ignorance will prevail.
3. Drinking of Alcoholic drinks will be very common.
4. There will be prevalence of open illegal sexual intercourse.
-- Sahih Bukhari

Come to think of it... Almost all of them are happening right now. Hmmm,...

Stop Eating Dammit!

Dang! Fasting isn't working out for me. I think I've been eating more than normal during Fasting Month than normal days. That's coz I've been going to bed with an extremely bloated stomach and will still be full for the morning meal, which I will skip, eventually.

It's sick. Eating too much is sick. I feel sick. But that honey coated bbq chicken was mmmmm... No! Dammit! Conflict in my systems. How come I don't think about food when I'm fasting, but I can't get enough of it when it's after break fast. Gotta eat lesser during break fast. Tomorrow... Must try... Otherwise, whole month will be wasted.

The following pic is hosted by Nuris, I just borrowed it to put here. Heh. This was from the time I 'sebok2' with the malay-teachers-to-be.

1st Pic: Taken after sending Marina home
2nd Pic: Candid. Didn't know Nuris took this one. Hahah. So that's how I look like behind the steering wheel. Big sia!

A dream, and Today

Woke up in the morning to go to Ubi. Didn't feel too confident about this prac 5, but I booked a revision session before it. Revision was normal, the road was mine and I can do anything I want to.
Met this guy who was about to ORD. He said he was a BMT sergeant, 'the cialat' type. And goes on to say how lucky I was to go in after him. Cheh, fuck off la boy. Action only.

After revision, Prac 5. The instructor from Funny #1 and #2 took charge of Prac 5. Anywayz, the evaluation went on smoothly, and I didn't make any immediate failure mistakes. But somehow I know they're gonna pluck my mistakes here and there and end up more than 10 points. So, I didn't even hope for the best after the prac. Went pillion riding with this fucked up funny mama dude. He was all, "Dey, not so fast la..." Hahaha, amazingly, he could support me through all the courses without much problems. Not bad ah.

The results... I passed! Extremely unexpected, but I really thank that instructor. That Mama dude also passed. So did this foreigner guy (1st timer sia!) I was damn happy. Extremely happy to notice that I got a fever. (It was raining like mad during the Revision, and I couldn't dry myself off for the Evaluation)

Couldn't bring myself to go to Grandma's house, instead, I fell asleep. That's when I had that cool dream.

Couldn't remember much of it now, but it goes something like this:
I was as if in some kind of movie, part zombie, part weird shit. It started out with this weird shit. I was in some kind of civilisation, extremely high class. But the 'evil' group was taking over the 'government' and somehow I was accused of being a spy. So I managed to escape with this somewhat hot girl into this shopping district.

Now comes the zombie part. The shoppers, cashiers or anyone else there weren't exactly normal. And we saw Newspapers and TVs with nothing but lines. No text, no pictures. Weird. So me and that girl walked through the malls and all, with these abnormal people staring at us. Then suddenly, they chased us, like zombies. AHA! Then JILL VALENTINE somehow appeared and saved us! WOohooO! Then she brought us to some sort of hideout where there are more survivors.

At this hideout, somehow I discovered the doctor there was the one responsible for the mutations earlier. And Arnold Shwarzzeneggor(dunno the spelling) was the 'president' of the hideout, which somehow contains the whitehouse. "weird huh"
In the hideout I met Rufee (this girl who was in JC 1st 3 mths only, not bad lookin')
Don't know why she was there, but she was there... By this time, the doctor had come up with some evil plan to outcast me. And he did. He claimed I have contracted the virus and got the whole community to send me back outside. So I went.

But Rufee came after me. Forgot the rest but the dream ends up with the hideout being attacked by the zombies and the doctor was half right about me, coz I somehow developed superhuman strength and was able to defend myself and that girl. I woke up at the climax.

DAMMIT! Tried to go back to sleep but I know I had to go and handle matters at Grandma's house. Such a cool dream. It's so cool that i'm writing it in my blog so that I won't forget it.

Just like that Transformer dream I had when I was in primary school.

Break Fast Together2!

Today... Saturday, started out with my normal Ramadan routine. Went to handle matters at grandmother's house, but luckily, today I could borrow my brother's car. That's a load off walking there by foot.
Like always, I slept through the afternoon till about 4 and then got ready to go to Bugis. Mwahaha. Standard malay promise from the HorisGurk, saying to meet at 5 but everyone coming at least at 545. AHakz.;)

7 of us: Me, Wan Giggs, Zoh, HorisGurk, GhazGhau, Huz, Fesop

We then went on to Zam Zam restourant, opp Sultan Mosque. The waiting was quite unbearable (20 minutes seems like a decade) and with those kids talking either about silat, or Huz's hair (wig? no wig?), and silat and more silat... But it's cool. Seems like silat is really fun...

The time comes and the Bandung flows thru my throat... Aaaah... It's bliss. And the briyani was oomph! Good stuff.
Met Fahmie (TPJC junior) n Fadly (Wan'z fren) along da way.
Then on to Geylang! Dammit. I hate that place. The view is not bad at all (7 'pretty baju kurung' sighted) but the crowd and the mats, damn sickening. Extremely pointless and money well-wasted on buying somewhat overpriced drinks. But after that, all of us lepakz only to be interrupted by the ever spreading 'go home' disease (one person leave, all leave).
Oh yea, No more minah gemukz under my flat anymore... Instead, MINAH POWER! Woohoo!!! But then I just went up home.
:)

My beautiful Room

Today I kuh-leened house, Ace! Yeah, my room is so clean, and re-organised. It even smells beautiful. This is my computer-->

It's so beautifully restored. Look at it. It's got a scanner on the right, the BATMOBILE on the left, a non-workable printer at the top, surrounded by two speakers. Not to forget the mouse I took from school(redemption).

I repositioned my TV set and antenna. Now, it's got clear channels. But ch 8 is still blurry, which means I'm probably gonna miss that show with Fiona Xie in bikini running across Orchard Road. :(

The truth is, I'm not done cleaning the room. My desk is a mess, but I'm already fighting a losing battle with my sinus. It's flowing like a waterfall, or river, whatever...

Something sad happened today, I failed prac 5. And there's this dude who failed 9 times. Woah... I hope I won't end up like him.

Damn nose is killing me... Bye

I'm Full - A Poem

I'm Full
--------

I feel full...
Full from eating ...
and drinking...
They taste so good...
So I eat them all..
Now I'm full...
So full.
--------
Be inspired.

Things on my Mind

There are things on my mind.

Among them, what's for Break Fast today. Is my mother gonna throw the leftover Mee Goreng from yesterday? Coz I was too full to eat then, but now it looks bloody good.
But more seriously, will I pass my bike in time before NS catches up? Coz my friends are already getting enlistment letters.
Will I pass my Java Certification. And why did I bother purchasing the damn thing. I know I'm not gonna work in that field.

Those are the things on my mind.

Power Lah!

Woah, I really have to credit these people: (in random order)
Ghaz - For letting me borrow his scanner
Ram - For helping me with the javascript and html codings among other things
Firdaus TP - For recommending EZ archive and that compression software
Thanks for helping me do this website. This is cool shit!

The two little music icons on the menu is the new addition to my site. I put it there so that when people navigate, the music won't stop. Hover your mouse over to see the title and artist...
More updates coming... Till I go NS. Hahaha. So close, yet so far... Watever.

1st Day of Ramadan

Ok. It's 1 hour to break fast. And I'm just killing time. Here are a couple of stuff that happened today:

Dog Chase Man
After Friday prayers at Ansar, on my way back home, I saw this rather stupid Ah Beng trying to control his dog. The dog was chasing people, really chasing people. There's this guy which the dog chased. But the guy wasn't intimidated. The dumb Ah Beng was shouting NO! NO! to the dog and trying to catch the damn animal.
The dog ran up to the guy and tried to sniff him, or something. Then, BAM! The guy kicked the dog's face! HA! That's how you handle these mad creatures. Show em who's boss. When the Ah Beng finally caught the dog. He didn't even say sorry to that guy. Tsk tsk tsk. I went up to him and said, "Next time put the dog on the leash lah!" He nodded and walked off, carrying the animal.

Mats got no respect
I saw a couple of Mats eating like it's a normal day at Banquet. Tapered Mats some more. Damn fools got no respect for Ramadan. What's the world coming to?

Hmmm.. I got no more stories. Quite an eventless day, so far. Wha??? I only spent 4 minutes on this entry? Sighz....

Funny #3 -Ubi Again-

Hahhaha. Weird day today. I got up and again, blurly forgotten about my revision prac at Ubi. When I got online, and then I remembered. Anyways, I saw this POWER heck of a sexxxy girl in da 87 bus. She was going to work somewhere in the Ubi Industrial Park. She really woke me up.

At Ubi, the instructor mentioned in Funny #1, was at it again! This time, he was not teaching me, coz I'm doing revision. I was doing the plank, again, which I sucked at. (How the fuck do someone balance their way through a small width over 6 seconds, on a two-wheeler!) But I'm getting better at it.
There I was at the plank, balancing, and using my complete concentration. When I got off the plank, on time and without mistakes, the guy smiled at me.

I was expecting something like: Yah, Boy, You got it this time. Good job. Keep it up.

Instead what he said was, "Eh mat, your balls itchy issit?"

Same reaction, I responded with, "Huh? No... Why?"

"Then why you keep moving your leg around while balancing?! (By right, one is supposed to grip the tank for better balancing) Grip the tank la!" He said.

HAHAHA! Hmm.. it was funny when it happened.

As for the rest of the day, I can't be bothered to go for Java Course. I might as well study it at home. BUT, I didn't study at home. It's the same old Guitar and Surfing and drawing stuff.

And right before this, I went rounding Bedok abit with the ever-chinese Tan Soon Lee aka Slamet.

Java? Binatang aper tu? (What animal is that?)

Went to school for Java Certification refreshment course today. Ah Tan was overseeing the lesson while some junior batch girl actually gave the lesson. She sucked at it. Ok, yes, she already passed the certification, and that makes her a certified Java Girl. Good for her. But what's up with her attitude man? (Think Jason, of that Dot.Com group) She's exactly like that, all lethargic and lifeless. Ah Tan invited her to teach and she accepted it. At least do the job with a good attitude. I know this because Sara also got the offer. That girl was there because she accepted the offer. But she teaches like crap. Ah Tan had to intervene numerous times throughout the whole thing. Sigh... I almost forgot how fucked up Ah Tan was to me n my grp in SIP. Coz he was back to his nice, friendly self while teaching Java.

I went off earlier coz firstly, I can't stand the damn 'course' due to that girl's teaching, and the fact that I have no idea what she was talking about. Secondly, I had to settle some family matters. (........)

Had lunch at Banquet (Power!) Bedok. I mean, Bedok rocks man. I don't know why, but it's the best place for me. Met Yati on the bus also. She's working and all... Oh yeah, speaking of working... I registered for some job agencies... Don't know if I'm gonna get any responses at all. That's probably it, so far.

Post Poly -2nd Day-

What a Day! It started out in the morning when I woke up to think of what to do today. I went out of the house for a while, to my favourite corner, to take a walk and to think. I thought, damn it's gonna be another sucky day. Then, i remembered that i gotta go for bike prac (revision).

I got to Ubi on time but i realised that i have not printed the receipt. I tried to get it printed at the booking station but the damn system was fucked up. Giving up on technology, and being already late for my prac, I rushed to the customer service counter and luckily that part time girl was on duty. She must've known me by now. That'z cos I gave her a lot of administrative troubles. When i reached there, she looked menacingly at me, thinking that i'm gonna give her more unnecessary work. Hahaha. But she helped me print the receipt anyway. On to the revision prac.

Revision... I was King of the Circuit. No, it's not coz I'm good or anything. It's just coz i got all the freedom in the world to go anywhere i please (on the circuit only, tho). But still, not having to follow any instructions is kind of fun. Oh yeah, saw this really hot girl (probably Eurasian) doing her Prac 1. The cool thing was, almost everytime i take a bike lesson in Ubi, there's at least one hot girl riding around at the same time. Haha, biker chicks, somethin' abt them that's hot. Anyway, that white Tshirt pretty girl looks damn hot learning to control the bike on her 'bang tire' excerise. And i can see that the instructor is having as much fun as her. I met another TP student taking same prac as me. That's cool. But, I got no more money to top up! Damn! After the prac, i waited for FOIzal. He's taking his TP test (car). The dude's all tensed up. Hahaha, reminds me of when I took the test. Wished him luck, and went back to Bedok to visit my grandma.

After that, I met Fesop and GhazGhauGhau for a second serving of that KickASS babes Vs Zombie movie, RESIDENT EVIL 2!! Damn, it was still good. Coz Jill Valentine and Jovovich was extremely, extremely HOT! I met Yam and Lorraine there too, as they were watchin' it same theatre n time as us. Wah, Yam ah... Got newly restored Vespa oredi... Sianz, when will I get mine?

I hope almost everyday in my holiday could at least be as fun as this, but i know that is not meant to be. It's just after Maghrib, and I'm back to thinkin' of what to do with my life...

Memories [JC] One: The origin of ‘Pey’

JC… what a fun time it was. But I failed it, so I hate it. But the memories will always stay. Here’s one of them. It’s about the origin, or should I say, the leakage of the nickname ‘Pey’.

It was the end of the 1st year of JC. And I already know I screwed up my exams. But academic life doesn’t seem to be too important to me at that time. So one time, on one of the days after the exams are over, where everybody just came back to slack around [even though lessons are still continuing (in order to get a head start in year 2)], we were hanging out at the MPH (multipurpose Hall) slash gym. We were playing carom. And in those days, handphones were rare among us, even at our age. So, everyone had a pager.
There was this thing about reading other people’s pager messages and enquiring about their private lives. Everybody seems to be reading other people’s alphanumeric pages. Much secrets were exposed in this way.

So, we were playing carom, and Husaini, fellow repeat student (He passed eventually) was going through my pages. Then he asked me, “Eh, Ferdaus, what’s this: Pey, [some message, I forgot]?”
So I answered without giving much thought, “Oh, that’s from my brother. Pey is what I call myself in the family. That’s coz I can’t pronounce my name well when I was a kid, and somehow the nickname ‘Pey’ stuck with me.”

All of a sudden, the whole MPH started to roar with laughter. And much later, Najeed says, “Can I have some ‘Pey’per? (paper)” WTF? That was totally random, man! I thought, “Haha, good joke. It’ll be over by tomorrow.” I was wrong.

From then on, the few of us in the MPH (around 4 or 5 guys) spread the word of Pey. Soon, all my friends in JC joked about it. But the thing was, it did not end as a joke. It became habit. Apparently, Ferdaus is too hard to pronounce. Too many syllables. Everybody started calling me ‘Pey’. Even the hockey coach, Samad, called me ‘Bey’. WTF man! After a while, I just accepted it. It’s not gonna change anyways.
The weird thing was, I was never called by my real name anywhere, except maybe in kindergarten and primary school. Even there, the teachers, chinese ones, could never pronounce my name right. It was 'ForThose', or 'Ferduas' or some other crap. In secondary, I was called, ‘Amzahman’ by the Chinese and ‘Pedas’ by the Malays. In JC, I was called ‘Pey’. Luckily, in Poly, Ferdaus came back. Don’t know what they’re gonna call me in NS.

School Life is Over

Today, I took my last paper of my last semester in Poly. The paper was erm... so-so only. The thing was, right after the paper had ended, it felt strange. I knew that there was no more studying to do, at least for a LONG while. The next thing in life for me is going to be NS. Yet, even knowing that... it still felt strange. It's so strange, I don't even know how to describe it in words.
Well, now my head is blank. Completely void of anything. It's so blank right now, that I don't know what else to write. I don't know what's the next step. Gonna have to think about that.

Funny #2 -Half Concious-

The day before exam! Tomorrow's paper is NMS, a relatively easy subject compared to WPC, which is a subject full of shit. That's not the point. The point is, I'm sick of all this crap. By crap, I mean studying. By studying, I mean Polytechnic life. By life, I mean... Life. So, I had a funny thought.
Let's stop giving a fu#k abt this, and go to sleep. Which I will... I don't know why that's funny, but I'm going to sleep. Don't feel like waking up anytime soon.... Or maybe, I'm sleeping now, and writing this shit. Woah, that's deep, isn't it? Well, it is. It's damn deep. When did I get so deep? Well, it's all because of the studying, which I'm not really doing. It's weird. Studying but not studying.. Heh... That's deep too! Wait, I don't think it's deep. It's just crap. So, the point of all this is, some people think crap is deep. And some people think deep is crap. Woah! Deep stuff there! Cool! Was I sleeping when I wrote all this? Who knows. No one ever knows. It's so wonderful what can come out of your brain when you are half concious. Heck I don't even know if I spelled concious right. The quick brown fox jumps over the white lazy dog. Who came up with that? I'd like to know the answer before I die. Thank you for listening. Will we all burn in hell? Let's hope not.
See Ya

I hate McDonalds

McDonalds can be considered an empire. But I’m not going to go into details. I don’t really have a reason for hating McDonalds. But I just do. That’s why I’ve been thinking about what makes me hate McDonalds. I guess the quality of food there has really gone down. Their McSpicy Double, which used to be my favourite there, has turned into plastic. The chicken tastes like plastic. You can argue that I don’t know what plastic taste like. Well, I do! And it tastes like McDonald’s McSpicy Double. McSPicy, hmm, nothing spicy about the damn plastic burger either.
Then, they no longer have the big chickens. I forgot what they are called. But they were one of the best stuff to come to McD. Now, they were being replaced with some small chicken wings, and the price is the same.
I still remember the days when McD used to brag about their $4.50 meals, saying proudly in their slogan ‘The Price is Here to Stay’. Yeah right. Meals cost up to 6 plus today.
And their staff… probably among the worst in the fast food industry. Why do they show on their advertisements, ‘chiobus’ like Fiona Xie as their cashier, when the real McD cashiers are … well… far from it. And probably half of the staff in McD in Singapore are rude and blurcocks.
Standard has really gone down for McDonalds. And that includes the customers they are attracting. With the new EZ-Link payment crap, lots of smelly school kids barge into McD everyday, spending away their parents’ hard earned cash on plastic food. I’m sure their EZ-Link account is separate from their daily/weekly expenditure account, ie pocket money.
Damn kids act as though they own the place. It’s just sickening eh?
You know what’s the best? Hawker center or coffee shop food and drinks. Yes, they don’t have air-con, but everything else is way more satisfying than McD. And what’s more, those rich pampered kids don’t go there. Ha!
